Event Details

Join fellow building-lovers for an exploration into the history of influential architect Charles Sparrell’s final Columbus creation which sits at the intersection of 6th and Washington Streets. Dig into its role in Rural Free Delivery, unique architecture, and the diverse group of tenants that shaped its history. This talk will not only dive into the history of the building itself, but also discuss the critical role of historic preservation in protecting our cultural resources. Preserving such buildings ensures that the stories of its former residents live on, providing a deeper understanding of the rich history of the community, and inspiring the public to protect these irreplaceable pieces of shared history for future generations.

The program takes place in the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library’s Red Room. To register (for either in-person on online attendance), click on the RSVP button above.
