Looking to develop your own literary skills? We have curated a list of writing workshops, all given by Hoosier authors. These engaging workshops are intended for a variety of audiences and cover several genres. Nonprofits interested in bringing an Indiana writer to their community to provide a one-time writing workshop for a public audience can apply for funds to cover the writer’s fee as part of the new Writing Workshop Program.
Libraries, schools, museums/historical societies, community centers, art groups, prisons and other nonprofits are eligible to take part. If you’re interested, apply online using the link to the right. Applications must be submitted by November 1, 2019.
If we select you to take part, Indiana Humanities will assign you a workshop (you can list preferences on your application; participating authors are listed below), and we’ll pay the workshop leader’s fee. You’ll be responsible for contacting and scheduling the assigned speaker, paying any travel expenses (including mileage and hotel if needed), providing the venue and handling local publicity.
We’ll notify recipients in late November, and all author visits must be completed by December 31, 2020.
