SUMMARY:INconversation: Follow that Food
DESCRIPTION:Join Indiana Humanities on Wednesday\, July 17\, at Wunderkammer Company in Fort Wayne for Follow that Food ! We will be discussing local food systems during a special Unearthed-themed INconversation\, presented by Indiana’s Family of Farmers. \nDo you know where the food in your fridge or on your plate in a restaurant comes from? Do you know the farmer who raised the chickens that laid the eggs in your omelette or grew the vegetables that are in your soup? \nBe a part of the conversation about what farmers grow and why\, and how it might get to your fork when you eat out or cook at home. \nThe moderator for the evening will be Nathan Shoaf\, urban agriculture state coordinator with Purdue Extension. Joining him in conversation will be Sylvester Friend\, farmer/co-owner\, Prairie Hills Farm; Jeff and Zach Hawkins\, farmers\, Hawkins Family Farm; and Jain Young\, administrator\, Heartland Communities. \nLet’s Follow that Food together!
