SUMMARY:Panel Discussion: "Making Black History Accessible: Our Future"
DESCRIPTION:The Black Legacy Project of Wayne County Indiana hosts a panel discussion titled “Making Black History Accessible: Our Future.” \nPanelists will discuss the closing of the yearlong museum exhibit Our Legacy: 1800 and Beyond and what the exhibit has meant to both Wayne County’s broader community and its Black community. The panel will also explore what next steps the community should take to celebrate local Black history and achievement. A reception will follow. \nThe program takes place in the Wayne County Historical Museum’s Community Room. DESCRIPTION:As part of its “Making Black History Accessible” programming\, the Black Legacy Project of Wayne County Indiana presents a free day at the Wayne County Historical Museum. \nAttendees will be able to experience Our Legacy: 1800 and Beyond\, the museum’s first-ever exhibit celebrating the contributions of Black community members.
