SUMMARY:History in the Heart
DESCRIPTION:Discover Lebanon’s historic courthouse square during History in the Heart! \nThe Heart of Lebanon\, downtown Lebanon’s Main Street organization\, is hosting this celebration to launch a new self-guided multimedia walking tour of the downtown square powered by the free smartphone app Distrx. Attendees can use the app to explore the history of the square. Along the way they’ll see photos of downtown Lebanon and the “time-capsules” that still exist in some of the downtown buildings today.\n \nHistory in the Heart will also feature street vendors\, including vendors at the Lebanon City Market\, and the Boone County Community Band\, which will perform  at 4 p.m. on the east side of the courthouse square. \nFor more information\, contact the Heart of Lebanon at info@heartoflebanon.org or 317.437.3484. \nThe walking tour app received support from a Historic Preservation Education Grant from Indiana Humanities and Indiana Landmarks.
