SUMMARY:Campfires: Blatchley Nature Study Club (Noblesville)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a flora-filled walk on this private nature preserve where Fox Prairie Creek joins the White River. We’ll walk boardwalks and hike up and down a few hills as we consider the ways watersheds tie us to Hoosiers near and far. \nEach trek is co-led by a humanities scholar and a naturalist. Along the way\, we stop to read short writings by nature writers. Each trek concludes with a shared meal and discussion around a campfire. \nYour ticket price includes a campfire meal\, Upland Brewing Co. beers and snacks for the trail\, in addition to any entrance or rental fees associated with the trek. \nWHERE: Blatchley Nature Study Club \nWHEN: July 23\, 2022 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. EDT \nSCHOLAR-FACILITATOR: Ryan Schnurr \nTRAIL DIFFICULTY:  Moderate; some hills and stairs \nTHINGS TO KEEP IN MIND \n\nA limited number of free tickets are available based on need\, please contact Sam Opsahl at sopsahl@indianahumanities.org.\nDepending on weather\, some trails may be wet\, so wear shoes that can handle the mud!\nPlease bring a reuseable water bottle to take with you on the outing.\nWe will send a final confirmation two days before the event with driving and parking instructions and any other updates.\nIn case of inclement weather\, Indiana Humanities will cancel the event and alert you via email at least two hours prior to event start time. If the event is cancelled\, you will be offered a ticket to another Campfires event of your choice.\nUpland Brewing Co. beer will available to those 21 and older.\nEvents are designed for ages 12 and up.\nRefunds are not available after 72 hours in advance.
