Fertile Ground: Midwest Printmaking Traditions- ‘Midwest Matrix’ Screening

A special screening of Susan Goldman’s documentary Film, Midwest Matrix, will take place at 6pm in the Landini Center for the Performing Arts. Goldman’s film brought to light the printmaking tradition of the central United States. She will speak before the screening with a free reception to follow afterwards.

Fertile Ground: Midwest Printmaking Traditions-Monoprints workshop

Filmmaker Susan Goldman and Fertile Ground guest curator Sujata Gopalan will lead a workshop from 1:30-3:30p.m. The workshop is focused on monoprints and Chine-colle and will be held in Fairbanks Hall in the basement print shop.

Fertile Ground: Midwest Printmaking Traditions – “G.I. Bill and American Art Lecture “

Fertile Ground is a free three-day series of public programs. The series will kick-off with Sujata Gopalan, guest curator, who will speak on the importance of the G.I Bill and it’s influence in training a generation of artists, including printmakers.
