SUMMARY:Writing Workshop: Curtis Crisler
DESCRIPTION:In this Indiana Humanities-funded workshop\, Curtis Crisler will help participants find their voice through epistolary (letter/prose) poetry. They will be prompted to learn the technique by writing to another person (living\, dead\, or made up). Attendees will leave with an understanding of what an epistolary poem is and how to write in the genre\, and participants will have a working draft that emphasizes their voice. SUMMARY:African American Genealogy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Timothy Pinnick\, acclaimed author\, speaker and genealogist\, to learn research strategies and find out about specific documents to trace Black ancestors. \nThis daylong workshop takes place both in person and virtually. Both options require registration (to register\, click the RSVP button above). The first 25 people to register for the in-person option will receive a copy of A Genealogist’s Guide to Discovering Your African-American Ancestors: How to Find and Record Your Unique Heritage.
