DESCRIPTION:From executive producers Ken Burns\, Sarah Botstein\, and David Schmidt\, experience the American Revolution in this new documentary. In partnership with our local PBS station – WNIT – join us to watch curated segments of the film series that focus on service\, followed by a discussion with local experts. And as we approach the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence\, reflect on how you might engage your own community with revolutionary civic service. \nCorporate funding for THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION was provided by Bank of America. SUMMARY:Project Archaeology Educator Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Project Archaeology is a national heritage education program designed to help teachers introduce archaeology to their students and program audiences. Elkhart County Parks and the Elkhart County Historical Museum are hosting a daylong Project Archaeology workshop to help local educators discover how archaeological inquiry can serve as a way to teach history\, social studies\, and STEAM subjects. \nParticipants will take home Project Archaeology: Investigating Shelter\, a $50-value curriculum guidebook with nine comprehensive lessons.
