SUMMARY:Smithsonian's Voices and Votes: Democracy in America Exhibition (Angola)
DESCRIPTION:The Smithsonian’s traveling exhibition\, Voices and Votes: Democracy in America\, will start its tour of Indiana at the Carnegie Museum of Steuben County on March 28\, 2026 and run through May 10\, 2026. The exhibition gives an in-depth look on America’s democracy and brings discussions about democracy to local communities. Host communities will present a companion exhibition and series of programs in their communities during the exhibit’s six-week visit. \nIn Angola\, the exhibit will be open the following hours: \nMonday 9 AM–8 PM\nTuesday 9 AM–6 PM\nWednesday 9 AM–6 PM \nThursday 9 AM–8 PM\nFriday 9 AM–5 PM\nSaturday 9 AM–3 PM\nSunday Closed \nThe exhibit will tour the seven small towns across Indiana during the Semiquincentennial\, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. SUMMARY:Heritage Artisans Days
DESCRIPTION:Historic New Harmony continues its decades-long tradition of inviting elementary schoolchildren to learn what life was like in New Harmony\, Indiana\, in the early 1800s.
