SUMMARY:WNIT Presents: THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION at the Museum Campus (South Bend)
DESCRIPTION:A Free Public Event Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary \nThe Studebaker National Museum and The History Museum are proud to join WNIT in presenting a special afternoon program exploring the enduring legacy of the American Revolution. : The History Museum’s Archivist\, Travis Childs\, will offer a talk on local Revolutionary War veterans\, and Studebaker National Museum Curator\, Kyle Sater\, will explore the Museum’s surprising connection to Revolutionary War hero the Marquis de Lafayette. Guests will also have the opportunity to view Lafayette’s Barouche — the oldest vehicle in the Studebaker Collection. The carriage was commissioned by the U.S. Government for the French general’s celebrated Farewell Tour of America in 1824\, making it one of the most historically significant objects in the region. \nCorporate funding for THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION was provided by Bank of America.
