Attend the premiere screening of Octave Chanute: Patron Saint of Flight, an hour-long documentary highlighting the life and achievements of Octave Chanute, an early pioneer aviator who experimented with gliders in the Indiana Dunes in the 1890s and whose work influenced the Wright brothers. In addition to the screening, the program will feature presentations/Q&A with filmmaker Paul Nelson and with Chanute biographer Simine Short. Refreshments will be served.
