The statistics on voter participation in Indiana are dire: Hoosiers are in the bottom 10 for voter registration and dead last nationally for voter turnout. To tackle this big challenge, all of us, across different sectors, have a role to play encouraging healthier civic participation in 2016.
Join Indiana Humanities, Spirit & Place Festival and WFYI Public Media for this free training on the do’s and don’ts of voter engagement for non-profit organizations. This training is designed for staff of non-profit organizations to learn how to register voters and encourage civic participation. We’ll also share a timeline of key 2016 election and registration dates, as well as resources and tips on non-partisan ways to encourage your community to be more civically engaged.
