Celebrate the art of bookmaking in one of Muncie’s most interesting spaces

Ball State University’s Book Arts Collaborative will host a public conference in Muncie featuring speakers from across the Midwest. Activities kick off with a Friday-evening book launch and reading by author Susan Neville. Saturday’s event features a number of workshops, including sessions on locating and authenticating 15th-century manuscripts and books, carving wood type, designing typefaces and book binding. A highlight on Saturday is a panel discussion of the “History and Herstory of Women in Letterpress” featuring some of the leading women in letterpress today.
