Marion County Historical Society members Steve Barnett and Bill Beck will discuss the history of Indianapolis-based Bobbs-Merrill, one of the nation’s most prominent book-publishing firms during the first half of the twentieth century. The program will tell the story of the firm’s close relationship with Hoosier authors, including James Whitcomb Riley, George Ade, Meredith Nicholson and Kin Hubbard.
The event will take place at the Central Library’s Nina Mason Pulliam Special Collections Room on the sixth floor.
