This two-day symposium, sponsored by the Frederick Douglass Papers, brings together scholars, educators, students and members of the public to consider the lasting significance of Frederick Douglass’s words and deeds during the 200th anniversary of the year of his birth. Day two features multimedia presentations on Douglass’s life and career, dramatic readings, a keynote by Rose Sackey-Milligan of Massachusetts Humanities, and the launch of a “Hoosiers Reading Frederick Douglass Together” program.
