This two-day symposium, sponsored by the Frederick Douglass Papers, brings together scholars, educators, students and members of the public to consider the lasting significance of Frederick Douglass’s words and deeds during the 200th anniversary of the year of his birth. Day one features panel discussions on Douglass’s life and career, as well as a round table on “Teaching Frederick Douglass.”
