Frankenstein Book Discussion (Mishawaka)
Event Details

MPHPL’s two Community Engagement Librarians will be holding off-site book talks for adults about Frankenstein and its influence on other works in this genre. Discussions will allow comparison between Frankenstein and others, putting special emphasis on the participants being able to share works in this genre that they have enjoyed and would recommend. The facilitator’s goal is to allow the participants to take leadership in the content of the discussions while focusing on the core themes of our overall series, namely bio-ethics.

Our first book talk will be at a cozy little cafe (Mama Shelly’s – who is consequently taking off with the close comparison to Mary Shelley’s name!) that is well-known for its breakfast offerings. Our second offering will be held around lunchtime at a local grocer who has a nice gathering area. Our third offering will be held in the evening at Heavenly Goat Brewery on 10/3 from 6:30-7:30 pm (7321 Heritage Square Drive, Granger, IN 46530). No registration will be required. Our community locations will assist in advertising.
