In this workshop, the fourth of the Noblesville Interdisciplinary Creativity Expo, the Logan Street Sanctuary will look at imagery, symbolism and thematic interpretation in the selected passages from The Three Musketeers and The Brothers Karamazov. Janice Bankert-Countryman, associate faculty in communication studies and women’s studies at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, will discuss the workshop topics and lead an interactive discussion on feminist critique (exploring topics such as how to find empowering, women-centered messages even in narratives that are seen as “for boys”). Participants are welcome to bring the tools of their creativity to work with as the group discusses the books. Space is limited and registration is required at http://loganstreetsanctuary.org/nice-noblesville-interdisciplinary-creativity-expo.
